@Stefano-o5f but you can get a better job and make smarter financial decisions. I'm not saying it's easy, I'm far from financially comfortable myself, but there are a lot more options for most of us than there were for most people of the past. Many of them were prevented by law to do anything other than what they were born into.

And there are probably things that are common now that will some day be looked back at as barbaric and inhumane. We have no way of knowing that now, otherwise we would stop doing it. It's funny how there are people in every era who think we have the whole world figured out.

@williamarthur4801 seriously, liberals have this starry eyed idea that we "got better", and sure, humane treatment has advanced over the years, but it wasn't out of the goodness of our hearts, it was mostly fueled by the fact that machines can do more work than humans without dying or complaining about it. And it's cheaper.

And pointing out the shrinking freedoms in western nations isn't the flex you think it is, we're losing those freedoms because of communist ideals seeping into our government.

@عباسالجوراني-س6ج I think of Demolition Man, how it was illegal to have any kind of physical contact, or "fluid exchange", all pregnancies are through IVF, and "sex" is done through VR glasses. Basically spanking it while you video chat with your wife while she's also spanking it🤣 it was meant to be funny, but we saw how much people freaked out about disease a few years ago. And the characters in the movie looked back at our era like we were a bunch of disgusting savages because we kissed and had sex.

@vulkanofnocturne it's the same psychology cults use to control their flock, they teach you to just attack the character of anyone who doesn't agree with your worldview. Prevents you from actually listening to them, because if you listen to other points of view, you might end up having naughty opinions.
