It's infuriating how Trump was anti-elected, he's the first president in decades that people actually liked, and yes, a lot of people hated him, but a lot of people really liked him too. Nobody really liked Obama, they just wanted to virtue signal to their liberal friends about how not racist they are, nobody liked Bush, they were just like eh, whatever, Republican is better than democrat, nobody actually liked Clinton, they were just like eh, democrat is better than Republican, and so on and so on, back to Reagan. And now nobody actually likes Biden. Because apparently hate is stronger than any other emotion.

@generalawareness101 yes it does suck, I believe in equal rights under the law too, for the most part, but it really makes you wonder if universal voting rights was a bad idea. Even back in the old days, it's not really like only men could vote, you just essentially had one vote per household. And anyone who's been married or in a long term relationship knows that the woman's opinion carries a lot of weight. So the husband may have been the one punching the ballot in, but it was really a vote for his whole family. And to even discuss these things is culturally taboo, but it shouldn't be, nothing political should be taboo, having that mentality is what breeds extremism. Like the alarming rise of communism and socialism we're seeing in the west, these things should all be openly discussed, even Nazism and fascism, that way we can all say ok, Nazism is dumb, fascism is dumb, communism is also dumb. Somehow we got to only one side of that where you can't even discuss Nazis or fascists, and now we're left with people who are so stupid they think communism isn't stupid.

@generalawareness101 there's a small part of you that has to kinda tip your cap to Democrats though, because their propaganda is really damn effective. They've convinced even most conservatives that the idea of not having voting rights is equivalent to not being a person, which is just ridiculous. You don't let your kids make decisions about how you run your house, and it's not because they're not equal as people, you love your kids, they're the most important thing in the world to you, but they're kids. You call the shots. It's your house, you pay the bills, you decide what's best. Voting should be viewed the same, minus the "love" part, lol, I don't love people who don't work because they don't feel like it, but I don't hate them either, it's fine, they're people just like me. People make mistakes. I've made plenty. But I work and pay taxes, my voice is more important than some single mom that cranks out babies to get welfare. She should just be happy I pay for her welfare, fuck her if she wants more, that's not up to her.

@generalawareness101 damn you're speaking my language, I'm 100% with you on that too, ALL Americans should have the rights of free speech and firearms, I don't care if you're a convicted felon, if you were convicted of a felony and you're out in the free world, that means someone decided it's safe for you to walk in the free world and you should have the same rights as anyone else, assuming you've gone through the proper process. If that's a problem, and said felon is dangerous and violent, then the problem is whoever decided to let them free, not the guns. Hell in many cases felons have more of a need for protection than your average Joe, if you were young and dumb and caught up in stupid bullshit, you serve your time and you get out, you absolutely need a gun, because the dumbasses you were running with when you got convicted probably still have some leverage over you. Being able to legally arm yourself is a great way to equalize that situation and do better with your life. And its mind blowing that democrats and the left pretend like they're the ones who care about the downtrodden and less fortunate, when it's conservatives and centrists who advocate for self responsibility and equality of opportunity, I don't want to give anything to anyone, because you don't value what you're given. You value what you earn. If you do stupid shit you should always have an opportunity to overcome that and make your life better, but YOU have to do it, no amount of good will or free handouts in the world can give you a better life in the grand scheme of things. The American dream is so misconstrued these days, it's not about having everything and everything being easy, it's about having anything you want, but it's hard, this nation is not supposed to be easy, it's supposed to be hard, and it's supposed to be for hard people who want to enjoy the freedoms that come with being self sufficient.
