I never even bothered looking at anything about this story, I just assumed MSM was lying again. Glad I didn't waste the time.

@joellucas4624 sometimes yea, but the police brutality episode is getting old and played out. I've seen it before. It's like one of those poorly produced crime docuseries, where the killer is always the wife or the husband.

@andrewmbuff it's probably a good idea though.

It stops when we stop giving a damn. Their accusations only have the power you give them.

And him paying for a speeding ticket would be the financial equivalent of me letting you have a penny. So stupid. Plus there's a pretty damn good chance it would have gotten thrown out when they saw who he was, a lot of judges are sports fans.

@jaredleicht1656 it's not about being scared, it's about self preservation. Police are human beings that have a right to self defense just like anyone else. Don't FA, don't find out.

@shannonchurchill4556 DV rates are much higher in black households than white or Hispanic. And also much higher among pro athletes than the general public. You can do the math.

@TsunTzu for real, if you're an officer on a routine stop, and the driver rolls up his tinted windows when you approach the car, your first assumption should be he's trying to grab something without you seeing him, like, I dunno, maybe a weapon. Because that's a very fair and often life preserving assumption.

@jaredleicht1656 let's do a little critical thinking here, if you're an officer doing a routine stop, and the driver rolls up their tinted window when you're approaching? Why might they be doing that? Maybe ..... To reach for a weapon? They're definitely doing something they don't want you to see.

It often has the opposite effect, that's why they call it "FU money". Being rich can expose most people's ugly sides to their personality, when you can pay your way out of just about anything, you tend to be less worried about social repercussions.

Why does he care? He makes enough money to just assembly line the child support payments. He could even pay someone to write the checks for him🤣

@bovineavenger734 I remember seeing one of those trash daytime talk shows a few years ago, I think I was at the doctor waiting or something, and all the harpies were talking about how black parents have to have "the talk" with their kids, about police, basically that cops are the enemy and if you get stopped for anything, you should assume they're going to harm you. I can't imagine why so many black Americans resist arrest and don't cooperate with police....

@cartwright77 probably so, but not necessarily. Most cops are sports fans, so it would be pretty likely they would recognize a high profile player, but they also wear a helmet on the field, and all the pads. They look way different in street clothes, I actually saw a Jadaveon Clowney at my work a few years ago, and it took me a minute to recognize him.

It stops when we stop trying to defend ourselves from baseless claims of bigotry. You don't have to defend a claim that has no credibility, and they don't care anyway, they just want to make you bend the knee. Their claims will stop having power when everyone stops indulging them.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy, you gotta give credit where it's due, the commies have gotten really damn clever with their manipulation and control methods. Black Americans are told all their lives that the police are out to get them, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they tend to act more aggressively towards police. Making them more likely to have negative encounters with police. Of course something something systemic racism, and blah blah blah history of oppression and all that junk. I'm sure my solid logic in the beginning of the comment is wrong.
