  1. I don't even know if you can call this gaslighting, gaslighting is typically very subtle, the whole point is that the person you're doing it to isn't supposed to know you're doing it. Sometimes the person doing it isn't even completely aware what they're doing. This is just blatant lying, except the political left that they're trying to appeal to has had their brains so thoroughly smashed in by years of propaganda, they just smile and nod and say "yep, checks out to me."

  2. Agreed, anything to win, at all costs. They're like the pro wrestling heel that does some kind of dirty tactic every time the referee isn't paying attention. Except the heel knows he's the heel, it's all part of the act, and the audience is supposed to know too. Leftists genuinely think nobody notices their dirty tactics.
