  8. The overwhelming majority of relief pitchers have a brief moment in the sun, and then they're buried in baseball history and forgotten by almost everyone. Bass had a golden opportunity to be remembered as the guy who stood up and said "no", and he blew it. Now he's just one of many who bent the knee to the outrage mob.

  9.  @str8delco589  they had a good playoff run. That was about it. They had a good team last year, not a great team, they only made the playoffs because of the extended wildcard format. But hey, the silver lining is that pretty much the entire NL is mediocre right now, nobody is running away with anything. The largest margin any team is out of first place right now is 9.5 games. Even the worst teams in the league could have a solid second half and be right back in the game.
