I was in a relationship for 7 years, thankfully never married. And it's unbelievable how quickly and easily women can just change their mind and discard you like an old pizza box.

I can't tell you how many friends and acquaintances I've had where the wife suddenly turned on a dime and didn't want to be with the husband anymore, ruined his life and took everything. Probably more than half of the couples I've known in my entire life have a story something like that.

I would make it to where the person initiating the divorce forfeits a large part of their financial claim, no matter what. Nobody would divorce for money if they didn't make any money from it. This would make sure the person initiating the divorce really wants to get a divorce, and isn't just trying to step on their former partner as a means to get paid.

Hope you have a prenup and a good lawyer.

She won't be alone. She'll have plenty of cats.

There is no societal standard for women, there is nothing, and I mean absolutely NOTHING that a woman can do that wouldn't be defended by at least some sect of the far left in society. The same can't be said for men. Obviously men still do terrible things too, but its not dismissed and defended the same as it is with women.

@montymython754 well it appears I was right about not marrying her, doesn't it?

@catherinelw9365 you would only marry someone you really wanted to marry if you couldn't get rich by divorcing them.

@ebifuon6776 and not everyone is a murderer either, that's why laws about murder only pertain to murderers. Why not write laws preventing gold digging too?

@ebifuon6776 first of all, everything you just said is a lie, you and I both know that. So stop lying. But even in a scenario where any of your lies are real, that doesn't change anything, I never said anything gender specific, if the man is just trying to siphon a bunch of money from the woman, then the same law would apply. I don't know why liars like you think that's some kind of "gotcha", like I was only proposing that women shouldn't steal from men and not the other way around.
