  1. I've never understood the claim that people make up alien and UFO sightings for attention, or fame. If you've ever done any research into the kind of fame and attention people who come forward with sightings experience, it's generally not very positive. People have had their social standing destroyed over it. Sure, there might be some crazy people that don't care if it's negative attention, but generally speaking, that is not a very reasonable motivation.
