  1. The Lotus Eaters had a video the other day talking about how the experts are often either idiots or liars. They cited a particular "study" where this guy alleges that marriage is bad because married couples are unhappy, and he used a poll that found the majority of married couples self reported being happy, but when their spouses were absent, that number dramatically declined, and people self reported being extremely unhappy. What this genius expert failed to realize was that on this survey that was done over the phone, the married people stating their partner as "absent" meant that they're no longer living together, as in they're separated but not divorced. So of course they're unhappy. He thought that "absent" meant that they were just in the other room🤣🤣

  2. Yep. Restore the 2 way street of relationships. Marrying and divorcing should not be a strategy for financial gain.

  3. Even the divorce playing field. Remove the financial incentive for women to marry and divorce for money. Sometimes one spouse is entitled to a settlement in divorce, if they genuinely forfeited a professional career, and can provide tangible proof of the amount of money they forfeited, but this should be done on a case by case basis. You're not entitled to half of someone's money just because you married them and then changed your mind. This goes for both men and women, but we all know who this is really meant to favor in our current system. This is what needs to stop, we need to restore the natural balance of power and relationships between men and women.
