Mandatory-Idiocracy weed can be harmful to people with a developing brain, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 25. But it didn't cause your son's schizophrenia, he was already schizophrenic. He probably sought some kind of vent because he was already messed up.

100%, and this is coming from someone who smokes and drinks. Alcohol has fucked my life up pretty bad, or rather my lack of control. Nothing bad has ever happened to me because of smoking weed, other than my dad getting pissed off when I was teenager.

@Cindybin46 diabetes has killed a hell of a lot more people than weed has. I'm not sure weed has ever killed anyone, you would have to stretch out your mental gymnastics to show me an example of someone dying bc of weed.

@paytons6767 drug use is different from weed use. I guarantee if you dig a little deeper into those statistics, most of the people committing violent crimes are using more than just weed.

Yep, this is a big oof for conservatives. At the very least they should just leave the issue alone, it's not like it's the most pressing issue on most people's minds while we're dealing with a disastrous Biden administration and multiple foreign wars.

I remember seeing her comments years ago when I first started watching and commenting on YouTube, it was the same shit, a bunch of pearl clutching about how everything is the devil, kinda like Bobby Boucher's mama. This is a big reason I consider myself more libertarian than conservative, weed is no big deal, it's pretty damn harmless on the scale of other drugs, far less harmful than alcohol. I still don't think it should be fully legal, at the least there should be some restrictions, and kids shouldn't be smoking while they're still developing emotionally. But it's not a "gateway drug", it doesn't lead to other substance abuse, it doesn't lead to violence, worst case scenario is you get a little lazy and complacent. There are plenty of people who only smoke weed, no other drugs, not even tobacco. You can't say the same for people who use cocaine or meth or anything else, hard drugs like that absolutely lead to other substance abuse, in most cases, but not weed.

@cherylrobinson7876 weed is not a gateway to other drugs, a lot of people smoke weed and nothing else. Cocaine is probably the biggest gateway, not many people only use cocaine, they'll typically take anything that's available. If someone wants weed and the only thing available is coke or meth, they're probably just going to say no thanks, unless they already do coke or meth. If someone wants coke, and it's not available, they'll say who cares gimme what you got, 100% of the time.

But you notice how even most of the conservative viewers are calling bullshit on it. Can't say the same for the left. If Kyle Kulinski came out against weed, 100% of his followers would march in lock step, because the left is a hive mind.
