  1. Society isn't ready to be so interconnected, it happened too fast. For the majority of human history, most people didn't travel much, you were born and died in your town or village, you only knew the people who lived around you. International travel first revolutionized that, where people could travel abroad more freely. But there were still a lot of limitations. The internet and social media made it so that everyone can see every negative story in the world at a moment's notice, and see every negative comment anyone has to say about anything. A lot of people just aren't emotionally equipped for that.
