Which are conflicting principles, directly. Civil rights means equal rights, and DEI is preferential rights for certain groups.

@seeyalateralligator00 and it's hard to tell if they're just unaware of how contradictory it is, or if they just don't care. My stepdaughter is 22 and fresh out of college, and she's got a somewhat concerning degree of lefty brain rot. Not a full blown looney, there's hope for her. But she genuinely doesn't see how it's contradictory to complain about racism while also blaming white people for everything bad that's ever happened. She really doesn't see it, no matter how clearly I map it out for her.

It is, but from my understanding, there's a pretty high bar for a conviction, because of the protection of freedom of speech. There has to be enough evidence that it was a credible threat, and that there was actual intent and plausible action. You can't just say the words and get convicted, that can be played off as a prank, or a joke.

@dth91 right, if you just make a veiled threat online, they won't do anything to you, but if you do that at the same time you purchase a rifle and a ticket to DC, you could certainly be arrested and tried for that.

@BellePal yes it is. You don't have to push diversity if you want equal rights under the law, you just give everyone equal rights and let the chips fall where they fall. If a certain field is dominated by one or a few ethnicities, so what, that probably means those ethnicities are interested and talented in that field, and that's a good thing, because that means the best are doing it. It doesn't matter what field or what ethnicity we're talking about.

But Rittenhouse committed the most heinous offense of all, he crossed state liiiiiiiiiines!!!!!!!!! But it's totally ok for criminal aliens to cross the border.

@chobiden7770 They even lie for seemingly no reason, I think it's partly because they're so delusional, they can't really distinguish reality from fantasy, and because they just have no morals, and they lie because they might need a set up for a future lie.

@dth91 yea it's one of those things where you have to take the good with the bad, I consider myself a free speech extremist, not an absolutist, but I side with free speech and expression almost all the time. So as vile and sometimes dangerous as the left is with their speech, on principle I have to allow it, because writing laws to restrict it never ends well.
