I dunno, the fact that so much information is available, and every normal person can have a voice sounds good on the surface, but it also means there's more bad information out there than ever before.

@oilersridersbluejays it's crazy how simply mentioning these irrefutable truths is enough to get people to freak out and pretend like you're defending Nazis and fascists. I got in a lot of shit for pointing that out when I was in school.

@zmeil I don't buy the "we beat the wrong enemy" narrative though, maybe we beat them in the wrong order, or we should have just followed through of defeating the communists. Because it's becoming more clear by the day that the US lost the cold war. It's here, all of the things people were paranoid about after WW2. It's really happening. And people act like the "red scare" was just fear mongering, even though we're in the middle of a communist takeover as we speak.

@bigbadcivic2 yea that's part of it, during the pioneering days of the west, a handful of outlaws and slimy politicians had far too much power over all the commoners.
