  1. 100% staged, Chris Rock is 50 something, not a particularly big guy, and probably has little to no experience actually getting into a scrap, at least not any time in recent history. If he genuinely got hit without any warning like that, he woulda gone down like LeBron James every time someone is within 5 feet of him on the court.
