  3. I still consider it Lou Gehrig's record, Ripken would take days off but come in late in the game to pinch hit or play defense for 2 innings, just to keep the streak alive. It's still an impressive record, but Gehrig actually really played all those games.

  5. ​ @soupdragonuk I wouldn't say never on that one, trends change. Look at the amount of homeruns and strikeouts right now, if you had told someone that 40 years ago, they would have thought you were crazy. Pitching statistics could go back to where they were eventually.
