So...... The actions of Affleck's ancestors, that he has absolutely zero control of are worse than Broderick actually killing 2 people? And I understand it was an accident, it's not like Broderick was maliciously trying to harm anyone, but he did kill 2 people due to his reckless and negligent actions. Those are some messed up priorities you guys have.

@thenecrosanct4906 not really. I've heard that the percentage of slave owners at the end of it's legality was about the same as the percentage of boat owners today. Not sure how accurate that number is, but only extremely wealthy people owned slaves. People have this weird perception that every white American owned black slaves, that's completely incorrect, very few people owned slaves by percentage, and the slaves weren't all black, and the slavers weren't all white. Yes, there were free black Americans who owned slaves.

@chrisrj9871 no, Europeans were brought over during the trans-atlantic trade too. Not many by percentage, but there were some. And if you want to look at all of history, not just the US and trans-atlantic trade, over 90% of slaves were of European descent, the word slave itself derives from "slav", as in white Europeans.

I hate the Redsox, but if someone tried to make me wear a Redsox hat for a movie I would say hell no too. I will wear a generic black hat with a red "B". But I will not wear a Redsox hat🤣

I'm just saying I understand the principle, and as a Yankees fan, if I was on a movie set and someone asked me to wear a Redsox hat, I would say nope, no way. The extra funny part about all of this is that J-Lo has bounced around between him and Alex Rodriguez, a former Yankees star🤣🤣🤣 I wonder if that originally happened because of Ben Affleck, like after they broke up she's like fuck him, I'm gonna go out with a Yankee now🤣

It's just a means to political power. They don't actually care about any of the horrible things that happened in the past, they're just trying to use collective guilt to control you so they can commit horrible crimes in the present.

@chideraalexanderdex547 no they were slaves. All of this information is easily veritable, well, maybe not that easily, because big tech has a certain narrative they want you to see. But the idea that it was all white slave owners with all black slaves is a myth.

@jimkirk4357 the hilarious part is the same people who cry about past slavery are also the people who think you shouldn't be allowed to criticize the people currently engaging in slavery, because of "xenophobia". They would have supported American slavery if they were alive back then. It was always leftists who supported slavery, and still is today.
