Must be such a sad existence to spend so much time obsessing over your skin color too, honestly how many times in your life has the color of your skin really been relevant in a meaningful way?

It was an excellent movie, I liked how they didn't sugar coat it and present Jackie as some kind of flawless saint, like biopics like that tend to do, they portrayed the real Jackie, flaws and all. His cocky attitude was necessary, there's a reason you've heard of him and probably not Larry Doby, he actually played in the majors a little bit before Jackie, but the Dodgers signed Jackie before the Indians signed Larry, Jackie just played in the minors for a while before being promoted to the majors. Also Larry was very soft spoken and not exactly the dynamic, head turning player Jackie was.

@MistressofWimps if you see the world through that lens, sure. And I'm not saying it never happens. But more often than not, the things people ascribe to racism are actually something else. It's a crutch that weak people use to make excuses, and society enables it.

@KDawg_08 I don't understand how you expect to live in a society where people of multiple races and ethnicities live together peacefully, while you're actively trying to self segregate. Which leads any reasonable person to assume that you don't want to live peacefully with people of other races and ethnicities.

@KDawg_08 no you don't. If you wanted to be viewed as equal, you wouldn't racialize everything, you would just live your life and treat other people as equal. You don't want equality, you want special treatment, you want to use race as a crutch for any time you don't feel like taking responsibility for your own shortcomings.

No statement should be more or less valid depending on the race of the person saying it, it's the substance of the statement that determines how valid it is. See? Not a hard question.
