  1. Tony Jaa is just impressive, full stop. Semi related note though, lately I've been binge watching Scott Adkins movies, and through talking about it online I'm noticing that he's criminally unknown, a lot of people are like "who's that?" I didn't even know about him until fairly recently, he's an incredible martial artist and actor. If you like The Protector, and/or Jaa in general, you should check out Adkins if you're not already aware.

I wish boxing and combat sports movies would stop doing those goofy sound effects with the punches landing, the obscenely loud popping sound, I would love to see more gritty movies in that genre that didn't do any post production and used the actual sound of the strikes landing, like a real fight. I get it, it's a movie, gotta have that drama and pageantry, because that's how the game is played, but I feel like the kind of people who want to watch those kind of movies would appreciate them having a more real feel to them.
