I don't think the 2017 Mummy failed because people were tired of the property, I think they just didn't like the change from the Brendan Fraser series. If they had made it a sequel to that series, with him playing the lead, people would have been stoked. Even if it ended up being terrible, it would have at least stirred up a hell of a lot of interest just because of how much people loved the first 2 movies, and even weirdos like me loved Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. That's right, I said it. It's great.

@mikatu Mummy Returns was awesome, WTF are you talking about? I know this is all subjective, nobody can tell you what to like, but I've heard hardly anyone say that they only liked the first movie, practically everyone I've talked to that liked it also said The Mummy Returns was pretty awesome as far as sequels go.
