Not any particular movie, but rather a common trope that drives me insane, is when someone gets shot with a shotgun or any weapon that's supposed to be really powerful, and they get knocked off their feet and go flying backwards. It's so ridiculous, any gun that actually did that wouldn't be very practical, since the shooter would go flying even further backwards when they fire it. You know, the whole "every action has an equal and opposite reaction" thing? Basic physics?

@cliffcorson4000 no, you can't fly backwards from any kind of conventional munition, it would have to hit with a much larger surface area, like a canon ball. You could be knocked down, depending on how close range it's fired from, and how solid your footing is, but there is absolutely no gun that will knock someone backwards like that.

I like to live in a world where Jurassic Park takes place in a hypothetical alternate reality, where the scientists know more about DNA than we do. Because everything they "debunked" in this video isn't really concrete, we have a pretty novice understanding of how all this works.

@mikitz maybe. Maybe there's a way to reconstruct it. I dunno, I don't know shit about this, but scientists used to think manned flight was impossible. Then we went to the moon, less than a hundred years later. The scientific community tends to be extremely arrogant, we have this idea that what we think is impossible today will always be impossible, despite that way of thinking being proven wrong, time and time again. Every generation thinks they're the generation that has it all figured out.

@mikitz yea a hare weighs what, 3, 4, maybe 10lbs right after Thanksgiving dinner? A little different than a 150lb person.
