They were pretty damn close with the Cubs winning the World Series though, they won in 2016 IRL. One year off, but considering they hadn't won in over 100 years (which was why it was so ridiculous to put in the movie), I think they can get a "close enough". They also beat Miami in the movie, who didn't even have a major league franchise until 1993.

A lot of that movie is getting kinda close to coming true, like how everything is becoming more sanitized. And if we have another pandemic freak out, it's not that outlandish to see a future where we don't even make physical contact with each other, ever.

That's a way underrated movie, I saw that somewhat recently for the first time since it came out. Damn rock solid movie.

Rocky, kind of. Definitely lost its touch with that 5 piece of crap that we all want to forget is even a thing that exists, including Stallone, but then they came back strong with Rocky Balboa, and both Creed movies were even better.
