  1. American History X is pretty traumatizing to me. It deals with extremely delicate subject matter to begin with, gives you a redemption arc, and then drops you off the tenth floor rooftop in an instant.

  2.  @memphistigertim  yea that's how real life works. Sometimes your past sins catch up to you, even if you've changed your ways and are trying to make good on it. Can't escape your past, and sometimes it's even someone else that has to pay the price. That's real shit.

  3. I can't do animal violence man, I'm desensitized to pretty much all movie stuff, but if there's an animal getting hurt I'm out. It makes me physically uncomfortable, like I feel all hot and like there's something itchy inside my spine, it's weird.

  4.  @memphistigertim  I mean, maybe "traumatic" is a hyperbolic statement to make about a movie in the first place, it's just a movie. Anything you see on the screen is just smoke and mirrors. So for me personally, I think something that's a gut punch that's conceivable or even probable for the real world is more "traumatic" than just some visually disturbing scene like a lot of the others on the list were.

  6. I'm halfway with you, I love the original, 2 is a pretty damn good sequel, but it became a boring blur of senseless gore for me after that. I lost interest after 5, I think I've seen 1 or 2 since then.
