I really liked this movie, but my one main gripe is that they really under utilized Scott Adkins, that guy is legit one of the best action movie stars in the business, and he was only in one scene.

One of the brothers was Scott Adkins, he's starred in a whole shitload of action movies that are pretty much all bangers. Even the weaker movies usually have awesome action scenes. I would recommend The Debt Collector as a good way to see what he's all about.

@dequezborden6944 I know, I'm not saying he should have been the star, or even costar, but it just seemed like a waste to have someone like him in such a throw away role.

@spykemxd lmao, yea he definitely loves spinning back kicks, more specifically. And that's cool, I love em too🤣

@Shaz-Daz and the funny and sad part is, he probably gets paid more for minor roles in major movies like that, and Dr. Strange, than he does for his starring roles in movies that are legitimately really good, but don't have such a major release for a broad audience.

Was that one of the brothers? Because Scott Adkins was the other brother, he needed more screen time too. They were badass. But it was still a good movie.

@Shaz-Daz which I'm sure he doesn't mind. He seems like he genuinely likes what he does, but it's got to be hard as hell, he probably gets his ass kicked filming the movies he stars in. Getting a big fat Disney check for just knocking out a handful of scenes in Dr. Strange was probably a welcome change of pace.

@sometimesfunny681 he's already been in a lot of great films, I see what you mean because I would like to see him get more mainstream notoriety too, but I've been pretty surprised at how many people seem to know about him.

I would agree with that, I liked The Gray Man a little more, it was definitely pretty formulaic, they weren't reinventing the wheel or anything. But hey man, nothing wrong with that if it's a good formula. Had some badass, adrenaline rush action.

@555retro yea it's a delicate balance, you have to understand your target audience and know that there's certain things that are expected, and at the same time you want to do something that sets your movie apart. To me the character development is what made The Gray Man so good, at first you think Six is just a soulless merc with no real personality, but as it unfolds more you start to see he just doesn't talk much to protect the people he cares about, the less they know about him, the better it is for their own safety. I thought that was badass. And Chris Evans as the sociopath.... Holy shit. What a 180 from Captain America, but he kicked it's ass.

@555retro for real, and sometimes when action movies try too hard to set themselves apart and do something different, it ends up just being dumb.
