I don't think this qualifies as "underappreciated", because it's pretty much universally loved by everyone, but The Sandlot is my favorite childhood movie that still stands strong years later, no matter how old you are. Even if you don't like baseball, it's great, and if you love baseball it just hits all the right notes.

  5.  @Sic_Ca_Rax  yea it's a little too beloved to be considered "underappreciated". But still, it's old enough that a lot of younger generations probably haven't seen it.

  6. Brendan Fraser is awesome, he's great in campy and ridiculous roles, he's great in serious roles, he can do it all.
