Lmao, it's definitely something you should watch though, it's a good movie. It gets clowned on a lot, there's a lot of really goofy tropes in it, and it's not particularly great in the rewatchability aspect (yep, I just invented a word) but it's sure as hell worth a watch, it's a really powerful movie.

Nailed it. Stunning visual effects are cool and all, but in my criteria for what really makes a good movie, that kind of stuff is pretty low. I'll take a schlocky, low budget movie with a good story over a bloated, big budget blockbuster with a lacking story any day.

I feel like if they mentioned that, they should have given some love to Jet Li's Fearless. I know it's apples and oranges since Crouching Tiger is over the top on purpose, and Fearless is a more grounded, realistic Martial arts flic, it is based on a true story. But damnit it's badass. I'm probably a little biased bc I love Jet Li, but to me that's one of the best martial arts movies ever.

It's kinda sad how a lot of people seem to overlook how incredible the original Saw is, because the franchise has gone on waaaaaaay too long and become a parody of itself. 2 was pretty awesome too, and even the 3rd was pretty good, but after that it's just become increasingly more cookie cutter, goreporn trash.

@PeterGriffin11 I'm with you man, and I'm not even remotely ashamed. Spiderman 3 is awesome, I said it and I'll say it again. Even cringey emo Peter, love that too.

@PeterGriffin11 I would, however, say it's probably the worst of the 3, I rate them in order, begrudgingly, because 2 is really awesome. But something about the 1st just barely edges it out as the best. They're all great though, I love pretty much everything Sam Raimi has done. Somewhat random side note, did you know he directed For Love of the Game? The baseball movie with Kevin Costner. Way underrated movie too, even if you're not into baseball you can appreciate it, it's kind of like a romantic drama centered around baseball. I know that sounds kinda cheesy but it's really good.

Did we just become best friends?

@epicoliver4008 yep.

It honestly didn't age well to me, it's not terrible, it's definitely a visually and technical masterpiece, there's no denying that. But the plot was just kinda empty and cliche to me. Yea yea we get it, humanity sucks. Tell me a new story now.
2
@zzz43344 yea. I'm definitely not saying it's terrible by any means, but I think overrated is applicable. I generally try to stay away from that term because it's so subjective, whether something is over or underrated depends on how other people rate it, but I think when we're talking about the highest grossing movie of all time, that's as close as we can get to something being objectively rated very highly.

If Idiocracy isn't on this list, I'ma rage.

Interstellar is sooooooo good, I had to watch it twice because I'm kinda stupid and it gave me a brain ouchie the first time. But it's freaking perfect, and I don't say that about very many movies.

No Anchorman 2? It's not as good as the first one, but as far as sequels go it's pretty freaking amazing. I would go so far as to put in on my top 10 best sequels.
1
Yea none of them are terrible. But very few of them are great. That's kinda why I like them though, you're basically getting a guaranteed 5 out of 10, with only a few exceptions like Black Widow, that one sucked. But if you just feel like going out to the movies and there's not much else out, there's pretty much always an MCU in theaters that's at least decent.

Dale Gribble. He was an idiot at the time, but look at how many crazy conspiracies have come to light as being true since then. Dale was woke AF. And not the dumb kind of woke like it's usually used, the woke kind of woke.
