Field of Dreams isn't just the best baseball movie to me, it's one of the best movies ever made, period. It's so much more than baseball. *61 should also get a mention, and Moneyball is only good if you don't care about baseball or historical accuracy. If you want to know the real story of Billy Beane, just look at the Athletics now, playing in a minor league stadium because Oakland and Las Vegas both don't want them. He destroyed the franchise.

@ssudzy3 the 4th of July scene always gets me in the feels, watching a ball you hit disappear into the night sky is one of the most beautiful things that a lot of people have never experienced. There's a specific point where the ball stops going up and starts falling, and it looks like the ball kinda flickers right in that moment. I'm sure it's some kind of optical illusion with a scientific explanation, but I don't care, I just like seeing it, and to me, it's magic.
