  10. Personally, I'm grateful for the fact checkers. Whenever they tell me something, I know they're full of shit, and the opposite is likely to be true. Whatever the truth is, it's not what they're selling. That's a good starting point.

Most people are a lot more stubborn than you, they let their opinions become their identity, and admitting they were wrong about one thing becomes impossible, because it would be the same as admitting their entire life is a lie. That's why they get so angry when people disagree, it's a defense mechanism.

  12.  @RealMTBAddict  someone legitimately tried to argue with me in a thread the other day, that vegetarians can eat meat sometimes. I wish I was making that up. That's the disconnect from reality we're dealing with right now. I don't even know how to argue against that, if you don't understand that being a vegetarian means you don't eat meat, like not sometimes, not certain meat, no meat, at all, ever..... There's really no words that can snap you back into reality.

Even my stepmom stopped watching them, it was a sort of tradition with her and my dad, he just got dragged into by her🤣 but they used to watch everything, Grammys, Emmys, especially the Oscars, they've both always been very conservative but she loves all that kind of stuff. She can't stomach it anymore though, she gave up a few years ago. We can separate the art from the artist, nobody in my family is the type to hate someone for having different political views, but it's gone way beyond that, political messaging has taken the forefront over art and expression, politics is the expression these days.

  17. I think most kids have some kind of confusion about gender at a certain point, that's completely normal. It's probably because you know you're like the adults that are the same sex as you, but at the same time you're not, because you're a kid. It's confusing if you can't fully grasp those concepts. That's what so sick and nefarious about what the left is doing, they take something that's legitimately confusing and use it to intentionally confuse kids even further.

  20. I didn't board the Trump train immediately, I thought it was hilarious that he was running in '16, but didn't really take him seriously. When I saw him treating reporters like the bad dogs they are, then I said hell yes, that's my guy.

Some of the stories are really freaky, like the guy who fell out of the window of his highrise apt that he had lived in for years, and the toxicology was negative, no drugs or alcohol, he didn't have a history of drug or alcohol abuse, there was nothing to suggest he would just randomly trip over something alone in his apartment, that he was presumably very well familiar with. There was another guy who allegedly died from a self inflicted gunshot, and was found alone in the passenger seat of his car, conveniently just a few miles outside of the jurisdiction that would have made it a state crime, he was instead in federal jurisdiction, where Hillary had more influence. Why someone would drive away from their home, just barely into federal jurisdiction, stop the car, move over into the passenger seat, and then commence to the deed is pretty bizarre to say the least.

  26. This is pretty indicative of why people tend to move to the right as they get older, and very rarely to the left. Because when you're young, you're idealistic, as you gain wisdom, you get more realistic. A leftist looks at a proposal and thinks "well I don't think bad people will take advantage of that, sounds good to me!", and a conservative will look at the same proposal and say "well people may not necessarily take advantage of that, but some people definitely will, so it's a bad idea".

  27. My work has a lot of part time jobs available in the summer that basically any monkey can do, so we hire a lot of HS and college kids. One of our HS kids this summer was actually a smart, good kid, conservative parents, she has her eyes open to all this crap. And she says practically everyone at her school is gay or trans, it weirds her out bigtime. And they're obviously just trying to get attention.

  31. ​ @poppylove3673 a friend of mine bought a trailer recently, and was having trouble finding a place to park it that was cheap. You can't even just park a trailer somewhere and live off the land, they don't get their precious taxes that way. And sure, it you to completely off the grid you can probably get away with it, but you've got to be pretty damn handy to have clean water and electricity and all the modern amenities that way.

Given I'm not a drugocologist, but from my understanding it's primary purpose is to help with initial weight loss for people who are so overweight it's difficult for them to lose weight with diet and exercise alone. But that once they start consistently losing weight, they're supposed to come off of it and continue to lose weight through diet and exercise.
