Most people are a lot more stubborn than you, they let their opinions become their identity, and admitting they were wrong about one thing becomes impossible, because it would be the same as admitting their entire life is a lie. That's why they get so angry when people disagree, it's a defense mechanism.

The funniest part about all this, that all the lefties forgot 5 minutes later, is that at first it was normal people saying we should maybe be careful until we know how dangerous it is, and all the crazy lefties called us paranoid, racist, conspiracy theorists. Then within about a month we learned its really not that dangerous, and the normal people said ok, still be careful but lets go back to normal life. Then the lefties lost their hive mind and told us to hide in our closet for the rest of eternity.
