@tomwaitsmencse exactly, I wonder how many people have been diagnosed with mental disorders and given prescriptions, when the root of their problem was something external, like a family tragedy or just general rough times leading to depression, or all the millions of kids who were diagnosed with ADHD because they get bored in history class. And I'm not saying those disorders don't genuinely exist, but there's a difference between having a chemical imbalance in your brain and responding to situations in your life negatively.

@tomraineofmagigor3499 that's why they say "if you're 25 and conservative, you don't have a heart, if you're 45 and liberal, you don't have a brain." They manipulate the good will of young and ignorant people by framing everything as a dichotomy, and shaming them as heartless for not blindly following along.

@tomraineofmagigor3499 what really sucks is that there's no easy answer. The inherent flaw and weakness of conservative and classical liberal philosophy is that values freedom of speech, and consistent principles. The left does not care about any of that. They tear up the rules and piss all over them, and tell you you're the one that's not playing fair. And the only answer is to go just as far to the right and just crack their skulls. And I don't like that answer either. You have to become a monster to destroy a monster, and it's not very easy to recognize when you've won and just go back to "normal". And I think it's always going to be this way. Every time society emerges from a major conflict and says "ok, let's just chill now and respect people's right to disagree with us", that opens the door for the authoritarian left to grow and fester like the unholy virus they are. And the cycle repeats.
