  1. I just got my return back the other day, and I filed pretty early. I'm not the only one, about half of the people I've talked to either haven't gotten theirs or got it way later than usual, it typically only takes a few weeks for me to get my return. At first I was concocting some kind of conspiracy theory about how they just weren't going to give any returns at all, come out at the end of the year like "yea, about that, we spent it already. Whoops. No more tax returns." Obviously that's not entirely true, but I'm starting to think this was conditioning, like covid, to gage public response. See if people were outraged about a lot of the returns being late. We weren't. In a few years, they're probably just going to keep it all.

  3.  @fraserfir19  not by directly having higher taxes, but everyone should be worried about the government just seizing more taxes because they feel like it.
