  1. Leftists aren't smart enough to understand anything besides absolutes. That's part of why they're so easily manipulated. You convince them "this thing is always good, and this other thing is always bad!" and they take that as gospel, even when the "good" thing is very clearly outweighing the "bad" thing as far as direct negative consequences.
