Most men would go for an average looking woman that's not an insufferable dragon person.

She's not worried about that. When women like that say they want to "settle down", they mean they want to find a sad sucker with money who will put up with her shit so she can spend all his money, have a steady house and bank account, and do whatever she wants on the side.

@edgarplummer6750 everyone would prefer young and rich, but rich is much more important for women, and young is much more important for men. Generally speaking.

I had a rule when I was single, if a woman asks what I do immediately when we start talking, I'm out. If we've been talking for a while and it's just conversation, that's fine, but if one of the first things she wants to know is how much money I make, I'm not interested.

@sarahalderman3126 I'm not making a generalization about all women, I'm making a generalization about women like this. Look how entitled she is, she's working off the assumption that there's something wrong with any man who doesn't want to be with her, it hasn't even occured to her that there are legitimate reasons men wouldn't want to be with her. I'm not even saying there's something wrong with that necessarily either, everyone has baggage, especially as you get older. But if you want to actually find someone who's good for you, you have to know what's wrong with you and what might turn someone off from wanting to be with you, both men and women. And you have to try to find someone who fits with your baggage. Abridged version, beggars can't be choosers.

@sarahalderman3126 so what? Men are ridiculed for a lot of shit too, that doesn't excuse poor behavior. Men are held accountable for the poor decisions they make and poor attitudes they have, regardless of any justification they think they have. What happened to gender equality? Does that only apply with the good stuff? You still want to be shielded and protected when it comes to the bad stuff? Like an equality buffet?

@sarahalderman3126 hold on, are you trying to suggest that it's men's fault that so many women are getting involved in sex work and pron, and that it's women who are most negatively effected by this in terms of the dating market? Well that makes about as much sense as eating soup with a fork.

@Aireck174 look on the bright side, society will probably have already collapsed well before that happens.

A lot of men around her age or older, who have had a troubled past and made mistakes wouldn't have a problem being with a woman with a troubled past, who's made mistakes. But only if she's humble about it and understands that she's not quite the belle of the ball like she may have been years ago. Having an attitude like any man should be honored just to be in her presence will immediately squash that though.

@tacotone yea, sounds like she's teetering between the old school damsel in distress mentality and the first wave feminism/girl power mentality. Which obviously are in direct contradiction to one another. You can't be a strong, independent girl boss and a helpless victim at the same time.

@ricardodarcangelo2437 yep, I'm engaged. They do exist. They're just an endangered species.

Freedom of slutiness doesn't mean freedom from consequence.

Afraid, maybe. Of their dick falling off. Completely rational fear.

@MockingBirdCanta you wanted equality, right? Sometimes men get beaten and even killed for standing by their convictions. I would even fancy a wager that the overwhelming majority of people throughout history who have suffered physical abuse for standing by their convictions were men.

It's got the same energy as a drunk guy acting like nobody wants to play pool because he's too good, but it's really because he's an obnoxious jackass that nobody wants to be within 10 feet of.
