I'm always curious to hear from people like you, what initially attracted you to their obvious bullshit, and what made you realize they were wrong? I'm sure it's not a simple answer, just curious.

@zoanth4 I've been thinking about getting a tattoo on my chest that says "tell my family I didn't vote democrat". I feel like that would be a welcomed joke for the mortician, they probably don't get a lot of corpse humor.

@Shirley-yx1le so were you young at the time? Because everything you're saying makes perfect sense, the only gap for me is why you were ever on the left in the first place, or rather why you believed them. It's so weird to me how that seems to be the default for young people just getting into politics.

The Israeli government and military are far from perfect, like all governments and militaries, but it couldn't possibly be more clear that Palestine is the aggressor, and the main guilty party here. Anyone suggesting otherwise is either ignorant or evil.

@FLmetalhead Palestine attacked Israel, and Palestine is using civilians as human shields. That doesn't mean Israel is perfect and never did anything wrong, but Palestine is the clear villain in this conflict, much more clearly than we usually have in any major conflict.

@malachiholder351 maybe it's just my contrarian nature that makes this hard for me to understand, even when I was a little kid, when someone tells me I HAVE to do something, or I HAVE to think a certain way, the first question I ask is "why"? I've never been one to follow the herd. I guess we're all just different, I'm not even saying that as a good or bad thing either, there are certainly times my life would have been easier if I did just go with the current.
