  1. It's a cult. One of the most important ways cults control their flock is by convincing them that everyone outside of the cult is a liar, and evil, a "sinner" of sorts. Any media that's not approved by the cult is wrong. Any person who isn't in the cult is wrong.

  2. That really is one of the most definitive differences between the right and the left. Right means you're generally happy with your life, obviously not always, about everything, but you like society and think it's more good than bad, and that our institutions and customs are worth keeping and preserving. Left means you're angry, discontent, frustrated with the world. You don't like the way your life has turned out, and you think the world should have to change to make your life easier.
