I'm old enough to remember when Netflix was viewed as a joke, because nobody thought brick and mortar video rental stores would ever go away. And now this. Possibly the most bizarre "full circle" moment of the 21st century.

@druncle1977 it used to be great, it had movies and shows out just a little bit after they were released through pay services, it had a lot of good documentaries and weird indie movies, it had old classics you hadn't seen in a long time. It was so good it made almost all other forms of TV and movie media obsolete. Sad to see it go this way.

Yea there's other factors, but I would say the whole cheese pizza factor is probably the biggest. Most people aren't a fan of that kind of stuff.

@Boskov01 I think more normies are waking up. I have a few coworkers who are single moms, don't care or know anything about politics, they know I'm into politics but we haven't really talked about it over the years. They're all sort of "liberal by default", so naturally they viewed me as some kind of alt right Nazi that Facebook warned them about. But over the last few months, each of them has come to me individually and wanted my opinion, because they've seen some disturbing stuff their kids are learning in school. They're getting slowly red-pilled, even though they don't really know what that means yet.

Yea most people can handle an ideological message up to a point, even if it disagrees with their worldview, but when you really rub people's noses in it and make the ideological point the whole point of the show or movie, most people lose interest, even if they agree with the ideological point. Except leftists, all they ever want to see is ideological garbage that strokes their fragile ego. But they're a small minority of broke losers, pandering to them is the worst financial move a company can make.

Has anyone else ever noticed how Arnold Schwarzenegger's name translates in English to "Arnold Black Black"? That's always cracked me up. If he had a daughter who married a man named Black, her married surname would be Black-Black Black🤣
