@charlytaylor1748 like most of the left's arguments, they take a kernel of truth and extend it to whatever they want. Slippery slope is often used fallaciously (ironically, typically from the left) but that doesn't mean there's no such thing as a slippery slope.

Tim still doesn't understand that his economic left policies can't be divorced from the socially left degeneracy that he's complaining about. You give people free money just because they exist, they no longer have the same incentive to take personal responsibility and actually make their own way in life. Give it several generations with people having a soft cushion to fall back on, and they're going to fill their free time with increasingly unhealthy lifestyles and habits.
