  1. I've had to teach teenagers how to mop and wash dishes. Think about that. Where would you even start? Sink. Sponge. Soap. What's the hard part? I'm pretty sure I could give a chimpanzee those 3 things and they would eventually start washing dishes, without any instructions.

  5. It is pretty bizarre to think about, most people's jobs just entail being present for the amount of hours their boss says they're supposed to be present. Doesn't really matter if they reply to 1,000 emails or 10 emails, they get paid the same. There's so many degrees of separation between what you get paid and what you actually produce.

  8. ​ @victorygarden556 I'm not talking about showing them where all the supplies are and that kind of thing, I mean even after I set them up they just start flinging mop water all over the place and act like they're making abstract art or something. It's not rocket science, you don't have to have work experience to know that the purpose of mopping is to clean the floor.

  10. My work hires just about anyone for summer and holidays, and it's a lot of high school and college kids, so I can say this on good authority, anecdotally - they have shit for brains. Not all of them, but a large enough majority that it's really not an unfair generalization.

  11. Average intelligence is actually increasing, if you believe those tests, but I think people seem dumber because we have technology that does most of our thinking for us.

You can usually get free money if you get fired from a job, in many cases it's even more than the kind of jobs lazy shlubs that seek that kind of crap can get anyway. So they get a BS job at McDonald's or Target or whatever and do absolutely nothing, they can either keep getting paid to do absolutely nothing at Target, or they get fired and keep getting paid to do absolutely nothing at home. Don't ya love socialism?
