There's a model called the BITE model, it stands for "Behavioral, information, thought, and emotional", it's a breakdown of how cults control their followers, as a sort of device in determining whether a religion or belief system is a cult. It's not objective, because there's not really an objective way to determine something so subjective, but it takes about the most analytical approach I've ever seen in making that judgement. The left hits every point off the charts. In a lot of ways, leftists are even more controlled than the most insane cults like Heaven's Gate and shit like that. It's really pretty scary.
