  1. ​ @strategery101  they haven't killed the metal. I think it's because there isn't a lot of mainstream metal, there's some exceptions, but generally speaking if you're in music for the money, metal isn't the way to go. That's why there are so many metal groups that have made really good music for a really long time, they're actually doing it for the music.

  3.  @justinlast2lastharder749  that's just one particular offshoot of metal, just because you don't like a specific subgenre doesn't mean the whole thing is dead. In fact that actually strengthens my point, because metal has branched out and diversified, all of the mainstream genres like country, rap, and pop have done the opposite, they've concentrated themselves into one uniform style that all sounds the same.
