I really appreciate how Simon has a "facts first" approach, and doesn't jump to one side or the other when discussing war and geopolitical issues. It's rarely as simple as their being "good guys" and "bad guys", and any approach in that way is going to lead to information being distorted or omitted.

You guys know how to tell if someone has a degree? Don't worry, they'll tell you.

I have doubts that you're being honest about your service.

I think "no better than the Nazis" is pretty excessive, but it definitely wasn't good.

@gregy1570 lmao, I dunno why people have to be so damn hyperbolic on the internet. Holy shit, everything is "as bad as the Nazis" these days, really makes you wonder if the people who say crap like that just don't think the Nazis were that bad.

@McVet3 the US and certain other western countries are probably the only ones in the world that take any kind of critical look at their own country at all. And there's still people who claim US education is somehow teaching "American supremacy" or shit like that, that couldn't possibly be further from the truth. Hell in recent years it's flipped to the opposite of that, kids in most public schools are being taught to hate their own country.

That's not really an exclusively American thing, especially when you view it through the lens of world powers. Peace is actually the exception, war is closer to the rule.
