I don't think most people really understand what that means. It doesn't mean you shouldn't work hard. It means you should look to find efficient ways to do things, so you're not working harder than you need to, and not wasting any effort.

If you had bargaining power, then you wouldn't need government to step in and force employers to pay you more. They would just pay you more, because you would be worth more. Because that's what bargaining power is.

He's not wrong. The sense of entitlement with most Americans under 30 is unreal. Everyone wants something but nobody wants to earn anything. Obviously I don't mean everyone. But this is a massive, widespread problem that's only getting worse. The people who watch this channel are a living testimony to that. All I ever see here is gimme this, gimme that, I should have that, I deserve this, I NEVER see anyone on the left ever talk about what they're willing to do, to give, to sacrifice. You don't just get stuff because you want it. The world doesn't work that way. Even if we just gave free stuff to everyone, there would still be people who have more than you, because they work harder than you. That's just reality.

I have a job that pays my bills, a pregnant fiancee, and I still have enough free time to make leftists cry on the internet. I would definitely like to keep more of my own money and not be forced into handing over such an obscene amount to a worthless government that does damn near nothing to actually benefit anyone. I pay a huge amount of my paychecks for broken roads that take 10 years to fix, mentally ill teachers who spend more time telling kids about communism than they do actually teaching them, and worthless politicians that do nothing but lobby to take more of my money. If you ask me, 1% is too much for what we're getting. And you numbnuts want to make working people pay more.
