@HKWhang1 most issues. Right wingers aren't gonna call you a leftist just because you disagree with them about one thing. Leftists will absolutely call you a right winger if you disagree with them about one thing, like they do with Bill Maher, Russell Brand, and Joe Rogan.

@furiousapplesack it's not a yes or no question though, what chemical weapons are we talking about? Because a lot of chemicals that can be used aggressively are already cheap. How are these cheap chemical weapons being distributed? How are they used as a weapon?

@HKWhang1 yea same to you. I'm against all political extremism, unless you think extreme libertarianism is a thing🤣 which I'm not, I would say I'm a moderate libertarian. But I see the points extreme libertarians make. The difference in today's political climate though is that there just isn't any extreme right, not in enough numbers to really make any impact. The extreme left is being propped up by the political establishment, and they're growing out of control. It's so naked what they're doing too, the establishment doesn't give a shit about leftist causes like workers rights and all that shit, they're just using leftists for their own power. Moves like this NM gun grab just hammer that home with even more obvious nature, and people still don't get it.

@HKWhang1 the majority of conservatives are supportive of all the things you just listed to some degree though, as far as LGBT issues and transitioning, most conservatives just want kids to be left alone and not indoctrinated in any sexual way. I don't know of a single person I've met in my entire life that's against interracial marriage, at least in the legal sense. Maybe they're against their family marrying outside the race, but that's not exclusive to conservatives either. Same with contraception, most conservatives are against abortion and want that banned, but not birth control, and certainly not condoms, that's just a fringe view that a very small faction of conservatives go so far on. The majority of conservatives just don't think tax payers should be responsible for other people's bad decisions, and that abortion should be illegal, and people should take responsibility for their choices. Same with social security, most conservatives don't want it to be completely done away with. They just want less social spending in general. I think a lot of your views of conservative ideology are skewed by what leftists say conservatives believe. Obviously they're not going to be honest about that, because they don't want people to actually listen to conservatives for themselves.

@HKWhang1 I'm not religious at all either, I'm an atheist. That's actually part of why I align more with conservatives than the left, conservatives are more respectful of people's beliefs. The further left side of the left is the most religious of any group in the US, they're a communist cult. They do not allow for anyone to disagree with the cult. A Christian conservative will be far more respectful of my atheist views than a leftist atheist would be about my conservative views.

It's already illegal to kill people, if someone is willing to do that they don't really care if it was illegal to obtain whatever instrument they plan on using to do it.

@furiousapplesack I'll take the dishonest bait though, if chemical weapons become cheap and widely available, then hell yes civilians should have the right to have them. It would still be illegal to use them against someone, the same as it's illegal to shoot people unprovoked. But if the state and criminals can have a weapon, then law abiding civilians should have the same right, to protect themselves and balance power. You happy now?

@HKWhang1 I don't know of a single republican politician that's tried to pass legislation against contraception or interracial marriage. It's certainly not anywhere in mainstream politics. The problem with republican politicians is that they don't do anything at all, they're happy to just take a back seat and let democrats win on every issue, because democrats winning means more power to the government.

I just think you're a little mistaken on your views of what Republicans want, the media is extremely biased in favor of Democrats and left wing views, I think everyone can see that if they're being honest about it. It's really not debatable at this point, they used to be pretty sneaky about it before the country was so radicalized, but now we have networks like CNN and MSNBC that are just right in your face with the fact that they're democrat propaganda networks. Sure you got Fox on the right, but that's pretty much it, every other powerful media entity is in bed with democrats. Hell you can even make the argument Fox is on their team too, since they've become the anti Trump, but we're still republican, wink wink, we swear guys were definitely Republicans, wink.

@ewrock7635 the system should be put in place so the wrong person in power can't completely derail the nation. The wrong people are always going to be in power, you can't stop that completely. Most voters are stupid. What you can do is limit their power. You're trying to take the opposite approach, and give them more power. Politicians already have too much power, far more than they were ever intended to have in the US, the entire point of this country was to have a government by the people, where a handful of elites don't hold all the cards. Now the left is trying to reverse all of that, while simultaneously screeching about how terrible everything is, because of leftist policy. And have you ever actually purchased a firearm? Because you don't really seem to know anything about how difficult it is.
