@FNLNFNLN like how leftists will say things about all rich people being evil, until it's pointed out that a member of their tribe is rich? Then they switch to "well, maybe not all rich people..."

@LetsGetitBoah I would be alright with reduced sentencing for hard drugs or even rehab over incarceration though. Prison is supposed to be for people who are a direct danger to society, drugs often go hand in hand with that, but not always. Someone isn't a danger to society just because they do drugs.

@dbarker7794 you understand libertarians want everyone to pay less or no taxes, not just themselves, right? I know you lefties only advocate for policies that help you. But regular people advocate for policies that they want to be extended to everyone.
2
And I'm inclined to think Jimmy is right on that one, what have progressives ever done to make you think they deserve the benefit of the doubt?
2
Leftists think they have a monopoly on freedom, which is laughable because this is pretty much the only issue that they actually tend to be on the side of freedom with.
2
@Zelorp well decentralizing government and reducing, or abolishing tax all together are kind of more important libertarian issues. If those things were to be achieved things like legalizing drugs would just naturally follow.

@FNLNFNLN that's what leftism is, your entire worldview is constantly shifting and back pedaling because you have to use hypocrisy to explain away your hypocrisy that you used to explain away other hypocrisy, that way you can use hypocrisy to explain away future hypocrisy until you have to use more hypocrisy to explain away that hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is the only consistent position the left has.
1
@FNLNFNLN I already gave you one with rich people being evil unless they're rich people that agree with leftists. You want more? Jan 6th was "as bad as 911!" But 500 violent riots by BLM in one year is just fine. I can keep going if you like.
1
@FNLNFNLN in other words, you can't refute the point, because I'm correct, and you know I'm correct, so you would rather argue over semantics.
1
@FNLNFNLN or how about Bernie Sanders changing his position from "millionai's need to pay their fai' shai'" to billionaires, once he became a millionaire? Does that one work? See I can even play by your make believe and arbitrary rules and still make a point you can't refute.
1
Or maybe the countless high profile Democrats that have been caught breaking their own covid mandates? Do I even need to list all of those off? Might take a few minutes.
1
@FNLNFNLN lmao, leftists vote for democrats though. Most republican voters don't think republican representatives are the greatest thing ever either, Jesus Christ you are an extremely dishonest person. Which is expected. You just keep shifting that goal post, and I'm still running circles around you even playing by your constantly changing rules.
1
@FNLNFNLN let's do it this way, you give me an example of someone you think is a "true leftist" and I'll show you their hypocrisy. That's how confident I am that every single leftist on the entire planet is a hypocrite. No exceptions. This way you can't play the "that's not real leftism" game, you tell me the person first.
1
@SadCat221 you wouldn't be commenting if it didn't upset you at least a little bit. And I love how you're not addressing any of my points either, just dismissing me as a troll because you know I'm right. That's how the cult controls you. Anyone who disagrees with you should be immediately discredited. That way you only believe what leftist thought leaders want you to believe. Textbook cult behavior.

This wouldn't be shocking if leftists paid a slight bit of attention to what other people are saying, it's not that uncommon for conservatives to have views similar to this on legalizing drugs. Conservatives just want the optimal level of freedom for the most people possible, and with something like drugs there are a lot of contradictions there, you may think "just let people do what they want" would be the most free position, but since drugs can be something that hinders people's personal freedom to great degrees, there are different schools of thought on it.
1
@ericthomas917 ok, by your logic if they pay more taxes they won't get much more back from the government. Depends on what your definition of "not much" is.
1
@howie6992 if the prices of labor are low, then the prices of goods will be low too. And if the price for your labor is greatly lower than the value of your labor, then other employers will gladly employ you for more money. And if they won't, then you're incorrect about how valuable your labor is.

@jacobr5627 there's more conservative or right leaning atheists than a lot of people probably realize. Atheists are definitely more left leaning than right, but it's not like there's a great percentage of atheists in the US or really globally anyway. So we're not talking about overwhelming numbers. But the stereotype a lot of people seem to buy into about leftists being atheists and conservatives being christian is just untrue, in the US in particular most people in general are Christian, that means the majority of both the right and left.

Is that why he has the #1 late night comedy show?
1
@wilcee675 yea but they're cheap and convenient, watching his show doesn't cost any more money or effort than any other show. Try another analogy, that one is a whiff.
1
@wilcee675 and I'm sure all the left wing propaganda you consume is great for your mental well being.
