@extremegrieferbible the US has only gone in a consistent leftward direction for several decades now, more social programs, higher spending, nothing has rolled back or been reduced whatsoever. We have more business regulations than practically every other developed nation, we have higher than average corporate tax rates, we have some of the most progressive taxation in the world. This is a leftist country, plain and simple. And if you don't think it's "real leftism" because it's not the kind of leftism you wanted, yea no shit, that's what regular people have been trying to tell you. It's never the kind of leftism you want it to be, because that version of leftism that the elites sold you doesn't exist, it's a fantasy they sell to stupid people so you'll hand them over more power.

@jemmarosenthal parents shouldn't have kids if they can't financially support them. And you shouldn't have sex if you aren't prepared to have kids. It's not someone else's responsibility if people make irresponsible choices, to suggest anything otherwise is unethical.

I don't understand what part of this you can't understand. Humans survived for thousands of years before we had medicaid and food stamps, they found a way. I'm not saying nobody is going to help us, or that nobody should help anyone, but that should be voluntary. My fiancee and I are good people, there are plenty of people in our lives that are more than willing to help us, because they know we would help them. Nobody wants to help leftists voluntarily because you're terrible people, that's why you have to demand help with government enforcement to back it, and steal people's wealth and resources.

Nazis and communists were ideologically opposed because both of their preferred versions of socialism couldn't exist without destroying the other. That's what socialism is. It can only exist if it destroys all opposition, even if the opposition is another form of socialism.
