And there will still be people who work 40 hours and make more money than you, and then you'll cry about how they have more stuff than you.
2
@AdmiralBison so find a job that has flexible hours, and work the hours you want.
2
Gimme gimme gimme! More stuff more money more stuff! And no, I'm not gonna do anything to earn anything, that would be fascism!

@jarl8815 plus, people tend to take the path of least resistance. And since it's a lot easier to drag everyone down than to lift everyone up, socialist economies always result in abject poverty.
1
@jarl8815 and American leftists venerate Sweden and other Scandinavian nations as left wing utopias, they don't seem to realize that the more radical left policies like your country have adopted are pretty new. Leftism always works well, off the back of wealth that was generated by capitalism. But it falls apart within a generation, because there's less new wealth being generated. When people are independent, and self sustained, they develop shared goals, that's where culture comes in to play.

@yellowbutterfly6796 what studies?

@TheWerttyFiles corporations are inherently socialist.
1
@TheWerttyFiles they're giant companies so big they're effectively their own government, and they're publicly traded commodities, meaning anyone can buy stock and be a part owner. Ya know, the people own the means of production? That sounds familiar.....🤔
1
@TheWerttyFiles the people who own the company don't actually own the company, because it doesn't sound exactly like the socialist utopia you had in your head? Yea this is the way it always works, little fella. Socialist thought leaders sell an idea to stupid people like you, it doesn't go as you planned it, but exactly how they planned it, and then you say "that wasn't real socialism!!!" so the next generation of idiots will fall for the exact same idiotic shit.
1
@TheWerttyFiles correct, so all we need to do is just give the corporations more power, and we will have socialism. That's why I don't understand why socialists are always crying about corporations. Those are your peeps. Whether you're smart enough to realize it or not, corporations are what you're asking for. That's why we call you useful idiots.
1
@TheWerttyFiles the only problem for the socialists is that you still have the option to work for a private company. If the government continues working in tandem with the major corporations, and get to the point where around 75% of Americans work for corporations, then we will effectively be a socialist state. There's already a lot of solid arguments to suggest the US is more socialist than capitalist right now.
1
@TheWerttyFiles but socialists think that the people ARE the state. So saying that workers own the means of production is the same as saying the state owns the means of production, because that's precisely what it is. This is the bait and switch they sell to people that are so stupid they think socialism is a good idea.
1
@TheWerttyFiles please tell me you already knew all of this, and you're just lying because you were banking on me not knowing? Lately it's been coming to my attention that a lot of people are genuinely so stupid they think socialism is some kind of liberty driven utopia. Socialism is authoritarianism, period. Socialist leaders know this, and most socialists know this. Somehow it would be even more pathetic if you're a "true believer" than you just being a lying scumbag like the people who are manipulating you.

So find a job where you can get 3 days off. Those exist.
1
@arthurmorgan1550 so get better at doing stuff, so more people will want to pay you to do stuff.
1
"gimme gimme gimme, because I want it". -every socialist, no matter what the question is.
1
@afkavm313 you can already work whatever hours you want to work. You just won't make as much money as people who work more hours at the same job. I can't believe I even have to explain this.
