@carletonrutherford1799 nothing is free, just because it comes out working people's taxes doesn't mean it's free. And we already have public funded education K-12, how's that working out? We have horrific literacy numbers compared to other developed nations. We need to dramatically restructure our entire education system. If you have a 4 year college degree, and you can't use that to find a job that pays well enough to cover the cost of your degree, then you made a poor investment in yourself. That's nobody else's fault, you're just not a very smart person.

@kray97 you can get scholarships for all sorts of reasons, if that's what you mean. And some of them are stupid reasons, but that's not for me to decide. If someone else is willing to pay for your higher education because of something you accomplished, I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the government forcing tax payers to pay for students that already got a free handout in the form of a loan and are now demanding another free handout to pay for the first free handout. That is indefensible.

@thesinaclwon and you're also conveniently ignoring the stark difference here - banks and corporations actually make money. When they get bailed out by the government, people get to keep their job. I still don't agree with it, they can get new jobs at banks that don't suck. But there's at least some logic behind it that I can understand. Failed college students demanding a free handout to pay for the first free handout has no logic whatsoever, besides the typical leftists logic of "give me free stuff, because I want it".

@kray97 I don't care about that either. Nobody owes you anything because their family was more successful than yours. Plenty of people were born with less than you too, but I never see leftists complaining about that "injustice".

@bluehero-96 you're the ones crying because you can't use a college degree to get a good job, I'm doing fine. Sounds like you're all scared of people being smarter than you, because every human that's ever lived is smarter than every socialist that's ever cursed the planet.
