  1. Bingo. And 90% of the people receiving this aid will pay off all or some of their debt and just continue to work at Starbucks and eat Cheetos and play Xbox all day. Because that'll help our already drowning economy.

  4.  @scifirealism5943  so you should have studied harder in high school and gotten a scholarship, or you could have taken a year or 2 off to save money, or you could have actually gotten a degree that's worth more than the paper it's printed on, so you could make a lucrative career out of it and pay off your debt in a couple of years. There are all sorts of options, all of which require making good decisions and taking responsibility when you make bad decisions. I've made bad decisions too, everyone has, but I don't expect someone else to fix them for me.
