It's not "society" that let a man with over 40 arrests back on the street, that was democrat leadership. He should have been in jail, or a mental facility, where he wasn't a danger to himself or anyone else. He would still be alive.

@coweatsman there are a lot of tough questions, but a mentally ill person who had been arrested over 40 times, who was so notorious that there was a reddit page dedicated to people posting about crazy shit they saw him do, is not within any kind of grey area. He should have been in jail or an institution, this is a no brainer. He was the most extreme example of the complete failure of the state to keep citizens safe from violent criminals.

@mr.saturn7833 I don't even think there's anything that warrants charges on Penny. A crazed man with an extensive criminal record was threatening subway passengers, with no regard to his own safety or that of others. Penny did nothing wrong. If anyone should have charges against them, it's the DA and everyone else involved that allowed Neely to be free, walking the streets.

So democrat representatives are going to do absolutely nothing about repeat violent offenders that are a threat to the public, and they're going to throw the book at you if you dare to defend yourself or anyone else around you. @allenhicks8382 their salary isn't going to change according to policy regarding the homeless though, I really don't know what you're getting at there. They don't do anything about this kind of thing because a public that lives in fear is more likely to hand more power over to the government.

@mr.saturn7833 it's almost like he wasn't trying to choke him unconscious, but rather just restrain him so he couldn't hurt anyone, with the threat of choking him if he continued to fight and threaten passengers, which he did. And then after he was choked unconscious, Penny and other passengers put him in a position to help him regain consciousness. Which is exactly what happened.

@coweatsman some people can't be helped. All the good will and government programs in the world can't save someone if they don't want to save themselves. That's what incarceration is intended to be for. Some people just need to be removed from society. And what have you ever done in your life to help the less fortunate? No, virtue signaling online doesn't count. How much of your paycheck do you give to the homeless? How many homeless people are currently living with you? If the answer to those questions is zero, STFU and stop pretending like you care.

@smitty1647 he didn't have his oxygen cut off for 15 minutes, that's a lie. If his oxygen was cut off for 15 minutes he would have been dead 14 minutes ago. He was still alive and breathing even after Penny let him go, and him and several other people attempted to administer aid. Stop getting all your news from biased sources, channels like this are lying to you, because they think you're stupid. Are you stupid?
