@MichelleHell that's complete horse shit, capitalism doesn't just simply divide profits at random, if you provide a better product or service, you make more money, because people are willing to pay more money for it. Why the hell do you think cheaper, generic brands exist? Why do you think people working the same jobs make different salaries? Because quality is a thing that exists, no matter what mental gymnastics you have to use to convince yourself otherwise.

@Ar1AnX1x Jesus Christ this is the dumbest thing I've ever read. Which is saying a lot, I'm a regular watching this channel. Shapiro doesn't claim to be a libertarian, he's a conservative. And libertarians are inherently right wing, if you believe in higher taxes and equality of outcome over equality of opportunity, you're not a libertarian, period. There's no debate on this matter. And as far as letting people with bad ideas voice their bad ideas? Yes, that's libertarian buddy. Doesn't matter whether you like it or not, liberty means liberty for everyone, not just for people who have ideas you agree with. Ideas are just ideas, actions are punishable by law, not ideas.

Real question, and I know that's loaded, there isn't a one word answer, but imagine 2 people who are respectively just a little left of center, and a little right of center, tell me a few positions they would differ on. @nfzeta128 that's hilarious, so tell me how exactly you think a system would work that distributes power to the populous without having some kind of authoritarian government power overseeing that? People aren't exactly just going to fall in line with your preferred ideology, this requires some kind of force. More successful people don't generally just give their money away because they're cool dudes like that. And any authority that would oversee this isn't generally just going to give that authority back to the people because they're cool dudes like that. This is exactly why leftists always say every communist country throughout history "wasn't real communism" because the communism that communist thought leaders sell to people who are so stupid they think communism is a good idea isn't the same thing as the communism you actually get. It's mind blowing this exact same grift has worked dozens of times, and there are still people so stupid they think it'll work better this time.

When they hear "business owner" they immediately conjure this image of an evil CEO with a handlebar mustache, plotting his exploitation of the working class while sitting in front of a fireplace with a glass of expensive scotch. They're too stupid to understand that for every one of them, there's probably 100 small business owners who are just normal people who made the right decisions, worked their ass off, were smart with their money, and followed a dream. These aren't the bad guys. I work for a small business and it's great, it beats the hell out of all the major restaurant companies I worked for when I was younger. And they think conservatives and libertarians are on the side of big business just because we don't think they should be taxed into oblivion just so I can have free money. I don't give a shit about big corporations, I don't like them, but I also understand it's better for them to be here than to outsource overseas. And you can make personal choices to work for and buy from small businesses if you want to. Personal autonomy. A foreign concept to the left.
