What if the majority of people who think they're trans end up not actually being trans? Would you accept the professional opinions of doctors, or shout them down as bigots?

@CrabCrow employers have rights too, and if they don't want to hire you just because they don't like your attitude, they should have every right to. Anti discrimination laws are inherently discriminatory, because when you say certain groups deserve different treatment, you're discriminatory towards all other groups. If you want equal rights that means you have to earn things equally too.

If you're saying it's a biological phenomena, like PTSD, then we should at some point able to accurately diagnose people with transgenderism, and not just take them at their word, right?

@sun1one1 I never said it was new, but the rates we're seeing people identify as trans are definitely new, and definitely regionally specific. There are counties in the US that have had a 4,000% increase just in the last decade, and the rest of the world has roughly the same rate of transgenderism as they always have, at least the same as they've had in recent history dating back decades. Are you really going to tell me that's purely biological?
