It's not illegal for the President to view or possess clarified documents, nor is it for former Presidents. If nobody was ever allowed to see them, then they just wouldn't exist. If the President doesn't have clearance to view classified documents, then who do you think does? This is what I said when it was Trump, and I'm saying the same with Biden. That being said, it's absolutely hysterical to see the utter hypocrisy of the left, trying to downplay this when it's Biden, weeks after they were all freaking out and demanding Trump be thrown in prison for the same thing.

Hey remember when the left all lost their hive mind because Trump had classified documents? Yea. I remember. And remember when every other president also had classified documents, and nobody gave a shit, because it's completely normal and not in any way illegal? Yea. I remember that too.

@joe94c it's not like he gave the current nuclear codes to Kim Jong Un. All that stuff changes all the time anyway, whatever information Trump had was probably too old to have been of any importance or any kind of security risk. If it wasn't, I'm sure we would have heard all about it. It's sure as hell not like the establishment hasn't been trying to catch his hand in a cookie jar for 7 damn years.

@seanfoley974 seriously. Presidents and former Presidents have always taken classified documents, that's not new, it's almost like a Presidential tradition upon leaving the White House. They usually steal some crap as a souvenir too, it's no big deal, it's actually kinda funny. Nobody gave a damn until the media told them it's bad when Trump does it. Now they're desperately trying to downplay and brush it off when Biden does it. Unbelievable.

Because the President has top level clearance? Ya know, "Head of the Executive Branch"? "Commander in Chief"? Every President keeps classified documents, it's sort of a presidential tradition. They steal shit from the White House too, it's actually pretty funny. Nobody cared until Trump did it.

Every former president has had classified files, it's not illegal. If the President isn't allowed to see it, then who is? Most of that stuff is only sensitive for a certain period of time anyway, something that was classified while Trump was President is very likely public knowledge by now. It's really no big deal, it was no big deal when Obama did it, it was no big deal when Trump did it, and it's no big deal when Biden does it.
